猪八戒是个懒虫，又贪吃又贪睡，一遇到困难就想散伙，回高老庄娶媳妇。但猪八戒在取经的路上也少不了，唐僧和孙悟空闹矛盾，总是他把猴哥请回来。
沙和尚好像没什么本领，一路上就看他挑个担子，打仗时也只能打几个小妖。但沙和尚做事最认真，如果没有他，有谁能安全地把担子挑到西天呢?
正因为有了唐僧的坚定意志，孙悟空的本领高强，猪八戒的八面玲珑，沙和尚的认真负责，师徒们共同努力，才终于取得了真经。
