近日提出的八荣八耻这是众所周知的，今天我所演讲的内容就是八荣八耻的其中一条——以团结互助为荣。
在这之前首先给大家讲个故事：在南美洲的草原上，发生过这样一件令人惊心动魄的事。
一个秋日的下午，一片临河的草丛突然起火，顺着风游走的火舌像一条红色的项链，向草丛中央一个小小的丘陵包围过来。丘陵上无数的蚂蚁被逼得连连后退，它们似乎除了葬身火海已别无选择。但是就在这时，出乎意料的情形出现了，只见蚂蚁们迅速聚拢，抱成一团，滚作一个黑色的蚁球冲进火海。烈火将外层的蚂蚁烧得噼啪作响，然而，蚁球越滚越快，终于穿过火海，冲进小河。河水把蚁球卷向岸边，使大多数蚂蚁绝处逢生。这个故事告诉我们一个道理：团结就是力量，只有团结起来才能化险为夷、战胜困难，只有团结起来，这些蚂蚁才能绝处逢生。是啊，众人拾柴火焰高。《团结就是力量》这首歌也唱道：团结就是力量，这力量是铁，这力量是钢，比铁还硬比刚还强。
说完这个故事，我不禁对这些蚂蚁肃然起敬，同时也明白了和对于一个国家的重要性。是啊，中华民族向来是以和为贵的，和即意味着团结。只有团结的民族，才能永远不受外来侵略。清朝的战争不就是个很好的例子吗?当时清朝政府腐败无能，贪官污吏内外勾结，卖国求荣，让大量流入中国，政使无数中国人民吸食上瘾，全国上下人心患散，因而八国联军轻易敲开了国门，掠夺了我国大量的领土，人民成了亡国奴，多么惨痛的教训啊!而这罪恶的根源可以说就是不团结造成的。
而在中国现代史中，同样是中国人，他们就可以团结一心为国效力。这使我联想到每次奥运比赛，运动健儿们团结一致、奋力拼搏，夺得那一枚枚光灿灿的金牌，它们是运动健儿们团结的结晶。凝聚产生力量，团结诞生兴旺。如果运动健儿们不团结一致，怎能夺得那一枚枚光灿灿的金牌呢?
可见，团结就是力量，欲话说人心齐，泰山移团结，可以使一个家庭更幸福;团结，可以使一个国家更加富强。
